GIVING TUESDAY
Rise and Shine Movement’s mission is to protect children from sexual abuse. And it is our desire to support other organizations who are also dedicated to this mission. We are a team and together, we can make a difference in children’s lives.
Philadelphia Children’s Alliance (part of the National Children’s Alliance and National Regional Children’s Advocacy Center) is one of these organizations working on the front lines to bring healing and justice to every child. Every April, Rise and Shine Movement sponsors the Great Teddy Bear Drive and with support from people like you, we’ve donated over 700 stuffed animals to PCA for children who have disclosed sexual abuse.
On Tuesday, November 29, 2016 we are committed to helping PCA again by supporting them on #GivingTuesday. Will you join us?
What is Giving Tuesday?
Giving Tuesday is an effort to help people change the way they think about, talk about, and participate in the holidays. It is also a call to action to give more, give smarter and put personal philanthropy back into the giving season.
#GivingTuesday is a day to celebrate giving!
How can you help “get out the give”?
PCA’s biggest need is donations of grocery gift cards (any food stores, WaWa and even Dunkin Donuts gift cards are welcome). It’s super easy! Juse order a card online and have it sent to them or mail one to the address below! These gift cards allow PCA to maintain their “Healing Begins at the Door” care and comfort area. Your support helps defray the costs of "care and comfort" items so that more dollars can go to sustain much needed programs.
We are asking for your donations on Tuesday, November 29th (or anytime during November, December, or January).
